Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions Tŷ Afal, Tŷ Ceirios and Tŷ Peren
BOOKING any booking made by telephone or email will be provisionally held for 24 hours until the receipt of a completed booking form and payment of deposit. We recommend that Cancellation Insurance is taken for your stay, particularly in winter months in case you are unable to travel due to adverse weather conditions.
DEPOSIT a deposit of 50% of the total booking will be required when submitting the completed booking form. If booking within 6 weeks of the arrival date, then full payment is required. Please note the deposit is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Once a deposit has been made you agree to all terms included. The name provided through the booking will be solely responsible for any breakages or damages caused during your stay. Bookings will not be taken for groups under the age of 21 years.
REMAINDER OF THE BALANCE The balance of hire will be due six (6) weeks before the holiday commencement date. We reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received one week after balance due date.
CANCELLATION any cancellation made by the client for whatever the reason must be in writing. Once the booking has been confirmed, the deposit becomes non-refundable. Cancellations should be notified immediately. If full payment has been made and we can re-let the dates, you will receive your balance payment plus 50% of your deposit payment. If the cabin is not re-let, you will not receive the amount previously paid. Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins strongly recommends the client takes out insurance against cancellation.
NOISE We do not tolerate a "party" atmosphere at our cabins, we offer a quiet rural environment. Noise does travel down to the village and neighbouring residential properties, therefore we ask you to please be aware of this, and consider other guests and villagers.
CLEANING AND BREAKAGES should the log cabin be left in an extremely messy state or major damages incurred, Dwr Y Felin Log Cabins has the right to invoice departing guests to cover any cleaning and replacement costs
TWO ADULT DISCOUNT when a booking is made for two adults, unless otherwise notified, only the upstairs bedroom will be made available. This is one of the main reasons for the discount (less housekeeping). If a second bedroom is requested, there is an additional housekeeping charge of £15
CURRENCY All prices and all payments must be GB Pounds Sterling ONLY
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES - arrival at the cabins is 3pm onwards. Departure time is 10.00 am
SERVICES rental charges include bed linen during your stay. You are required to bring your own towels. Beds will be made up prior to your arrival and for bookings of more than one week, linen will be changed at the end of each week. Electricity and water are included within the rental charge.
CARE OF THE PROPERTY the client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and it's furniture, pictures, fixtures and fittings and effects in or on the property, and leave them in the same state of repair, and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as found at the beginning. We provide cleaning equipment for this purpose. Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins reserve the right to issue an additional charge (to the person who made the booking) of up to £50 for cabins left in a poor state on departure. An invoice will be issued and payment required within 7 working days.
FIXTURES & FITTINGS all fixtures and fittings must be used solely for their intended purpose. Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins request that you do not take into the cabins any portable heaters, lighting equipment or any items that may cause danger to the cabins, equipment or occupants. Any bulky items such as bicycles are not to be taken into the cabins. No furniture, bedding, plates or cutlery are to be moved from or between the cabins.
ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING we do not permit any charging of electrical vehicles at our Log Cabins, in accordance with our Insurance Provider.
There is a charging point at the village Spar shop
BREAKAGES, DAMAGES & MISSING ITEMS the client is legally bound to reimburse Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins for breakages, damage, missing items or excessive cleaning caused by the party during the period of rental.
CHILDREN children must be supervised at all times. This is particularly important when using the hot tub and vicinity of Mill pond. No young child should be allowed in a hot tub until they can stand on the bottom and have their head remain out of the water. Children who are old enough to be in a hot tub should not use it for more than five minutes at a time.
DOGS one small-medium sized, well behaved dog to be discussed at time of booking is allowed in Ty Afal for £30 Pet Fee. No dogs to arrive without prior discussion with Sarah. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times when outside the cabin as there is no enclosed garden area and the cabins are on a working farm. No dogs are allowed upstairs, nor are they allowed on any furniture. Dogs must not be left unsupervised in or around the cabin at any time during your stay and we ask that they have received an up to date flea treatment prior to arrival.
VISITORS only the number of persons notified on the booking form are entitled to occupy the accommodation allocated during any time of their stay. Prices have been adjusted to number of guests staying. Due to the quiet nature of Dŵr Y Felin, no day or over night visitors are permitted on site at any time. The maximum number of persons allowed at the property is clearly stated as four (4) and must not be exceeded at any time in accordance with our Insurance providers. Owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund in case of breach of this condition. Children and babies are included in the party size at time of booking.
CARING FOR YOUR SAFETY It is the client's responsibility, particularly parents with young children or other vulnerable people to inspect the property and grounds immediately on arrival and note any possible hazards. Check the layout of your holiday property so that in an emergency you can get out quickly and easily. There will be no running, jumping, racing, skipping etc within the property, or to cause a nuisance or annoyance to any other occupied neighbouring properties eg. music playing outside, shouting etc
The client should pay particular attention to the working farm adjacent to the property and ensure that they, or their guests do not trespass onto the farm without the prior permission of Hugh or Sarah.
THE COUNTRYSIDE Please remember that the countryside activity (farming etc) and animals can be noisy, unpredictable and smelly at times.
SMOKING Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins operates a No Smoking policy within its cabins, decking and hot tubs.
PARKING parking of vehicles must be in front of each cabin and must not obstruct the roadway. Your vehicles, their accessories and contents are left entirely at your own risk. Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins will not be responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle. Repairs to vehicles (except emergency repairs) must not be carried out on site.
LOST PROPERTY a minimum charge of £10 is made for the return of lost property after your departure. Receipt of a stamped envelope first is required if an item is to be returned. Items of lost property can only be held for a maximum of one month after which time they are donated to charity. We can not be held responsible for items reported lost which can not be found. Property is at all times the responsibility of the owner.
RIGHT OF ENTRY we will not normally enter a cabin once let without your agreement, however employees of Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins shall be allowed the right of entry to property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection, or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
HOT TUBS the hot tubs are unsupervised and therefore used entirely at your own risk. We maintain our hot tubs on a daily basis. In the event of inappropriate use (in our opinion) resulting in chemical imbalances/poor water quality and the need to drain and refill the hot tub, a charge of £50 will be made to the person who made the booking. Guides to the proper use of our hot tubs are available in each of our log cabins. Please be aware that for health and safety regulations we drain our hot tubs every two weeks, or when we feel the water quality has been compromised; this could result in the hot tub being out of use for one day of your stay.
BBQ - an area is provided for use of a disposable barbecue
PRIVACY protecting your privacy is important to us and we will strive to keep your personal information confidential. We do not give any information to third parties. If required by law or legal process to disclose your personal information we will do only in accordance with the law.

COMMITMENTS TO QUALITY As an established family run business, Hugh, Sarah and family work hard to provide you with quality accommodation, and to assist you with your holiday plans once you have arrived. Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that the descriptions/photographs are accurate and all statements by the Owners are made in the honest belief that they are accurate at the time. However, all distances are approximate and facilities may be altered or withdrawn for reasons outside the control of the owner for which we cannot accept responsibility.
FORCE MAJEURE Dŵr Y Felin Log Cabins cannot accept responsibility or pay compensation where the performance of our contract with you is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to force majeure. These circumstances include any event which we could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your accommodation (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.
