AROUND DWR Y FELIN
If you ever feel like venturing a little further than the comfort of your cosy cabin then Mid Wales has a wealth of activities and attractions that cater for all ages and tastes, from sandy beaches to dynamic mountains, underground cave tours to afternoon tea in a country manor, steam railway rides to touring around lakes and walking waterfalls. There is plenty to choose from to keep you and your loved ones well occupied... if you can tear yourself away from the hot tub that is!
Check out this blog of things to do in the area around Dwr Y Felin that is useful for some top local tips!

HORSES, BIKES & QUADS
From Coed Y Brenin and Bwlch Nant Yr Arian cycle centres to the Bwlch Gwyn Farm trekking centre there are plenty of outdoor activities ready and waiting all within an hour of your cabin
FISHING
If it's fishing you're looking for, there are trout pools in the village plus fishing at Clywedog Dam or river fishing on the Severn.
Castles and Waterfalls
My favourite castle is Castell Y Bere near Abergynolwyn, which is on a great circular route from Carno up the Bwlch towards Dolgellau, head for Tal Y Llyn then after your walk around the castle, head for Tywyn, Aberdyfi and call for supper in Machynlleth! Also on this route is Dolgoch Falls - a stunning woodland waterfall circular walk.
SCENIC WALKS & PLACES TO VISIT
It wouldn't be a trip to Wales if it didn't include some mountains and a castle, and we certainly have plenty of both!
There are castle ruins hidden away like Castell Y Bere, or the more pristine Powis Castle for those looking for some luxury.
Cadair Idris mountain marks the beginning of the Snowdonia National Park and provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley surrounding it straight out to sea
